Our Expertise
ZRBG Proceedings
We pursue claims arising from employment periods in ghettos under the ZRBG — a field that requires sound knowledge of historical ghetto geography and the relevant case law (in particular the Federal Social Court rulings of 2 and 3 June 2009). Claims may also be asserted through the heirs after the death of the entitled person. In doing so, we work closely with the German Pension Insurance and foreign institutions.
Victim Compensation Law
We represent the persecuted and their descendants in compensation proceedings. Reconstructing a history of persecution is more than a legal procedure — we accompany this often burdensome process with respect and sensitivity.
Citizenship Proceedings
For Jews with European ancestry, several pathways exist to restore a European citizenship:
- Germany: renaturalization under Article 116 (2) of the Basic Law (GG), expanded in 2021 through the introduction of Sections 15 and 5 of the Nationality Act (StAG)
- Austria: facilitated citizenship under Section 58c of the Citizenship Act (StbG) for descendants of those persecuted under the Nazi regime
- Romania, Poland, and others: restoration of citizenship through demonstrable descent
Our distinguishing strength lies in combining genealogical research with legal case management: we reconstruct the line of descent and conduct the proceedings.
Genealogical Research
Researching war-shaped biographies is both the foundation of our proceedings and a contribution to preserving remembrance — carried out carefully, respectfully, and with historical accuracy.
